Before starting Celtic Carpet Cleaning, Fred spent 15 years working on the railway as a welder. This role demanded precision, reliability, and a strong work ethic — qualities that still shape the way the business operates today.
Alongside this career, Fred always had a fascination with cleaning, particularly carpets. Long before it became a business, he was cleaning carpets for friends, family, and word-of-mouth referrals simply because he enjoyed the process and the results. What started as a hobby quickly became something more serious, with time invested in learning techniques, understanding fabrics, and purchasing top-of-the-range professional equipment.
Living the dream
Eventually, the decision was made to step fully into the business he had always wanted to build.
